EditEPIC

EPIC translates research on entry-level college courses and on the factors related to college readiness into a nine-part system that helps secondary students become more ready for a wide range of postsecondary programs, not just elite universities. This system emphasizes better and more comprehensive diagnosis of readiness from 6th grade on in four key areas: content knowledge, cognitive strategies, learning skills and techniques, and transition knowledge and skills. Using this model at its organizing framework, EPIC develops tools, techniques, and processes that enable schools to improve their ability to make more students ready for college, particularly those who would be first in family to attend college.
