TextYard is an online marketplace for textbooks. It was launched by Indiana University students in 2008 and has since grown to cover over 1000 schools throughout the USA. It is a web-based local-search program, where students cans search for books by class, term, department, or section, by school and location. Students are also able to sell their textbooks through TextYard. It is a free service to students but takes a percentage of books sold. It compares lowest prices on textbooks with Amazon, Half, Chegg, and other student sales.
